Refund policy
Returns
We are happy to accept returns up to 30 days after an order has been marked as delivered if you are less than satisfied with your Rip Tie Hair Ties for any reason.
To initiate a return, please email our Customer Care Team directly via customercare@riptiehair.com.
If your return is accepted, we will send you a prepaid return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. You will have 14 days to ship the item back to us.
Items sent back to us after the 14-day return window and/or without first requesting a return will not be accepted. If an exception is made, a 20% restocking fee will be deducted from late returns.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method, excluding the shipping costs as these are non-refundable. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund to your account.
*Please note: All Sale Items are considered Final Sale and ineligible for returns.
Exchanges
We do not currently offer direct exchanges. The fastest way to "exchange" a product is to return your original purchase following the instructions above and then place a new order. Immediately placing a new order ensures that you’ll get the new product quickly and that it won’t go out of stock while you wait for an exchange.
Shipping
We pride ourselves on the expedited fulfillment of your order! Please double-check your shipping address for accuracy prior to checking out. We will do our best to resolve the issue if contacted immediately, but cannot guarantee that we will be able to make the update prior to shipment and we do not issue refunds/replacements in the case of shipment to a wrong address. For all packages that are returned to sender, there is a 20% restocking fee.
Additionally, once the order leaves our facility in San Diego, it goes into the hands of reputable mail carriers (first DHL - then USPS for last-mile delivery), and we are no longer liable for the package. We do not provide refunds or replacements for packages lost/misdelivered by carriers or stolen packages. Please contact the carrier directly for issues related to your order once it has shipped. We do not refund shipping costs under any circumstances.
As an American company, we are proud to support our United States Postal Service and utilize them for the majority of last-mile deliveries. If you know that your local USPS does not deliver to your address, please refrain from ordering at this time or ship the order to a friend or family member that receives service from USPS.
Finally, international shipments may be subject to other duties, fines, or fees, outside of the shipping costs that we charge. Each country is different and has different policies for customs, imports, etc., which may cause the customer to incur additional fees beyond Rip Tie Hair shipping costs. These additional costs are the sole responsibility of the customer. Any international order returned to us due to lack of payment for customs/import fees will incur a 20% restocking fee.
Warranty
We stand by our ties! If your Rip Tie breaks within a 60-day period, please contact us immediately at customercare@riptiehair.com with your order number and a picture of the broken hair tie (and let us know when/how it happened so we can improve!). Please note, this warranty only applies to our patented tangle-free hair ties, not other accessories that may be sold by Rip Tie Hair.
Damages / Defects
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately at customercare@riptiehair.com if the item is defective, damaged, or if you received the wrong item, so that we can make it right.
